What went Wrong with Srinu Vaitla?
Srinu Vaitla was at times one among the most sought after directors of Tollywood for average heroes like Raviteja to the star heroes like NTR Jr, Mahesh babu or the Mega family heroes. But the fortunes have gone upside down now. He is nowhere to be seen nor heard in the film industry circles. What went wrong with him and what is he doing now?
Srinu Vaitla proved his stamina and comic strengths with his first films such as Nee Kosam ad Anandam, which were greatly applauded by one and all. But the film which brought him to limelight and made him catch the eyeballs of the big Whigs from Tollywood was "Ready" starring Energetic star Ram and Genelia. The great success of this film and the continuation of comedy senses from his previous hit film "Dhee" of Manchu Vishnu have made him a star director overnight.
His next chances were with the top stars like Nagarjuna for "King", Venkatesh for "Namo Venkatesa", Mahesh for "Dookudu" transforming him into a star director. The unexpected huge success of "Dookudu" has name of Srinu Vaitla into the Top 5 charts of leading and promising directors of Tollywood. That has brought crowded dates in his dairy with star heroes like Jr NTR and Ramcharan Tej approaching to act in his direction.
All was well till then. But the next with Jr NTR in the form of "Baadshah" getting into a disastrous result and then again another disaster with "Aagadu" with Mahesh Babu have hit his fortune with a major blow. Even after this as per his previous commitments he had the film "Bruce Lee" of Ramcharan, which could have brought him back, but the history has repeated again. Major reason behind his failure in succession was said as cutting down the team of Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan. But, if that was real and true, Bruce Lee which had the team back also could not succeed.
But, then came up another major blow in form of his personal family life issues with his wife filing a case of domestic violence against him and all said these disturbances from within his family life have eaten up his creativity. Maybe yes, that was a valid reason. Whatever are the reasons, end result was that Srinu Vaitla had to be completely gone out from the Telugu cinema as a Director left behind with no opportunities in his kitty.
